GARDENLICIOUS – SEPT 22 – 24, 2017
Tasty Food, Wonderful Locations, Vibrant Gardens that Satisfy Your Palate

The days are shorter and cooler as Canadians reach for their sweaters and savour all that the fall harvest has to offer. A good place to start exploring is the Garden Promenade in the National Capital Region during GardenLicious September 22 to 24, 2017.

Here in a nutshell are some of the city’s best Garden-to-Table experiences to enjoy that weekend.

Join Their Excellencies the Right Honourable David Johnston, Governor General of Canada, and Mrs. Sharon Johnston at RIDEAU HALL for a culinary fete prepared by the Rideau Hall kitchen brigade and take in the private gardens and residence as well. Non-perishable food donations for Moisson Outaouais and the Ottawa Food Bank accepted. Free admission.

If an urban setting is more to your liking, SOCIAL on Sussex is offering a GardenLicious table d’hote Menu (Reservations recommended). TAVERN ON THE HILL with its spectacular view is also participating as is Novotel’s ALBION ROOMS.

Community-centric THE GREEN DOOR, MAIN FARMERS’ MARKET, OTTAWA EAST COMMUNITY GARDEN all on Main St., are opening their doors with special samples and GardenLicious treats in Ottawa’s east end.

The CIVIC GARDENS AT LANSDOWNE PARK are ripe for a visit with their vibrant colour and presentation of indigenous plants as well as debut of the Victory Garden initiative. Close at hand is the OTTAWA FARMERS’ MARKET appreciated for its Ottawa-area products only offerings.

Water lovers can head to Dow’s Lake Pavilion where MALONE’S LAKESIDE GRILL and MEXI’S AT DOWS LAKE are offering GardenLlicious menu specials. And just west of Parliament Hill along the canal waterway, MILL STREET BREW PUB has a mouthwatering entrée, cocktail and dessert to celebrate the GardenLicious weekend.
